Editorial

I have documented a wide variety of subjects for magazines and newspapers, often to accompany text by a journalist or with just my captions. Subjects have included: London’s Victorian Cemeteries, Britain’s artisans (musical instrument makers, stone sculptors/carvers), French and English food markets, food producers such as Forman & Field, unusual architecture (hidden gems of London) and other stories.

I try and tell a story through my work, not in a ‘how to’ way, but by creating an atmosphere and impression where each photograph adds to the whole story, while not repeating information in the text. Most of the story ideas are my own but I am also very open to interpreting the ideas of editors and writers.

If you want a journalistic approach to photography, with high quality images, delivered on time and to a brief, working with or without a writer, please do contact me.
